It's Not Getting Any Better

People like to think that time fixes everything, but time doesn’t do anything on its own. It just passes.
Days pass into weeks and into months, the weight remains unchanged. You just learn how to live with this heavy burden, which comes back every single day. But the idea of it eventually getting better is the comfort of those who do not have to go through this hell themselves.
The truth is, things can stay bad for quite a long time.
Every single morning you will get out of bed carrying the same fear in your chest as the one that you carried yesterday. You can try hard, hope for a miraculous turn of events, and keep waiting for something to happen while nothing really does. The world keeps spinning, the people around you carry on, and you stay burdened by all the same worries, anxieties, and silences.
It’s tiring to be told that “it gets better” when you know that it doesn’t. Trying to look at things in a more positive light doesn’t change anything.
Things aren’t getting better at the moment. All the same worries are there. All the same isolation is present. All the same uncertainty remains. This is the current reality. There is no life lesson waiting for you somewhere down the line and no happy ending in sight.
Hope I find peace someday.
